The Marashabot keeps appearing on MSNBC, and it's clear she has nothing to offer to any discussion. She often doesn't even answer the questions she's asked, and just drifts off in her own direction, and babbles. I honestly question her intellect, much as I do that of "gang of 6" Sen. Chuck Grassley, who often times just comes across as a total dimwit. Marsha's strain of far right conservatism is a dinosaur, and she and that jackass Wilson who heckled the president last night are cut from the exact same cloth. Marsha is a darling to those who are the most out of touch. All that matters to these folks is being in their own little club, so how about putting ALL of them on their own island - or better yet, their own planet - where the rest of us don't have to be harmed by their dying ideology.

The comments by Rep. Joe Wilson are not acceptable...agreed, but what does this have to do with Rep. Blackburn.

You lefty's could have had a big victory by ignoring what Rep. Joe Wilson said, and focusing on how great President Obama's speech was(and it was). But instead now you guys have made it a MAJOR STORY about Joe Wilson. "READ MY LIPS" you have now painted President Obama into a corner. He cannot sign a bill that would allow health care coverage to illegal immigrants. If he does sign such a bill he will be one and done...Just ask Bush SR.

If I were you I would not say another word and move on...

The sexually-oriented comments regarding Congressman Blackburn are inappropriate and reflect not only the moral character of the poster, but his lack of intelligence.

And regarding lack of intelligence, "prestodan" offers a sophomoric whine-a-log filled with important words like "dinosaur", "dimwit",

For those interested in substance, here are a few of the "out of touch" matters Ms. Blackburn has championed:

She fought for and won reimplementation of sales tax deductibility for Tennesseans, a provision that has been restored every year since. As a result, taxpayers have the same right to deduct state taxes from their income taxes as those who pay a state income tax.

Defending Tobacco Farmers: Congressman Blackburn fought to protect Tennessee’s tobacco farmers from intrusive regulation.

She opposed government-created programming mandates to Tennessee broadcasters. Blackburn was joined in her opposition by 126 of her colleagues. Following receipt of the letter- which communicated bi-partisan opposition to the plan- the FCC abandoned its proposal.

She proposed legislation to address the issue of criminal illegal aliens (Clear Act)and has 139 co-sponsors to date.

Congressman Blackburn is a co-sponsor of legislation to fully repeal the concurrent receipt and survivor benefit program offsets. She has introduced legislation to implement measures that will correct problems in VA information technology systems, and has sent a letter to the President requesting Inspector General teams be sent to reevaluate military health care facilities.

These efforts hardly reflect someone who is "out of touch", rather, a congressman who is actually doing her job as our representative.

Thank goodness someone qualified for the job is finally running against Blackburn. Dr. Greg Rabidoux will be Marsha Balckburn's demise. The 7th deserves a representative who not only has the necessary education and experience, but will actually represent the interests of Tennesseans rather than those of deep-pocketed corporations.
