Wamp Placed on Apology Watch for Dissing Rush

The Tennessee political world is all atwitter: Will he or won't he? Will Zach Wamp apologize and kiss the feet of Rush Limbaugh for having the audacity to sorta question whether El Rushbo is all wise?
On CNN, Wamp was asked what he thinks about Limbaugh's saying he wants the president to fail. Wamp said:
"Frankly, we need to listen more to the people back home, and not so much just the voices out there. There's not much difference between entertainment and journalism on some fronts."
Later, he added:
"Listen, I don't want to get in the crossfire here. But the fact is entertainers sometimes say things. We really need serious-minded policy people to help chart this ship of state out of these rocky waters right now. And so we shouldn't spend so much time caught in what others are saying."
At Daily Kos, they're taking bets on whether Wamp will hold out longer than Michael Steele or Eric Cantor. We may have to wait to learn Wamp's reaction until tomorrow when he's scheduled to make campaign stops in Nashville. If we can find him then, we'll ask him. The irony is that Wamp may catch grief from within his party for one of the rare moments when he actually makes sense.
