Marsha Blackburn Nearly Joins Homeless Population

Times are tough all over if they're about to auction off Marsha Blackburn's house on the courthouse steps. Actually, according to the congress(man)'s office, it's all just a big mix-up. (Heh, heh). They're saying her bank failed to process electronic mortgage payments "though sufficient funds were in the bank to cover those payments."

Here's an interesting tidbit produced by this story: Blackburn's house has got a name, and it's Up Yonder. Do they name their houses in Brentwood? I never knew.

I get this mental picture of a defiant, teary eyed Marsha as Scarlett O'Hara grabbing a clump of dirt from her yard (cue the Gone With the Wind theme music), as she declares, "They'll never take Up Yonder from me. I won't let them."

Actually, Blackburn should have let them take her house. It might have worked for her politically. She could have played the victim, and foreclosure would have given her a little of that Sarah Palin Everywoman quality that she so desperately seeks.

Update: The Tennessee Journal comments: "When the note is called Up Yonder, she'll beware."
