Sarah Palin’s Baby = Political Football?
Watching possible VP–to-be Sarah Palin last night, I noted that her admittedly handsome family served double duty as a useful political prop. Smiling politely, every hair in place, the Palin clan illustrated the governor’s all-American normality and connection to everyday working people for the TV cameras. The question is, if an entire family—especially little Trig—can be used to illustrate a point for political advantage, how can the McCain campaign complain about them becoming the subject of public inquiry and investigation?

Posted 09/04/2008 at 09:56:36 AMI care less about her family than about what the commentators were saying on PBS last night: that she not only pledged to continue the bridge to nowhere in 2006 but indeed accepted the federal money being handed out for it. From the Anchorage Daily News:
"The Alaska governor campaigned in 2006 on a build-the-bridge platform, telling Ketchikan residents she felt their pain when politicians called them 'nowhere.' They're still feeling pain today in Ketchikan, over Palin's subsequent decision to use the bridge funds for other projects -- and over the timing of her announcement, which they say came in a pre-dawn press release that seemed aimed at national news deadlines."

What would have been really cynical would have been to expose her younger children to a tv tabloid and then make a huge issue of not allowing the children to be exposed to the media.
But who would ever be that crass and manipulative?

But enough is enough...Everyone out there needs to wake the up and realize that this is no longer a party or side race. It's your either a shit head or your not. Vote McCain your shit head...vote Obama the congratulations, you are getting the reality of how screwed our country is.
Everyone needs to for one election put aside their political affiliations and ask yourself if you’re a shit head or not?
Here are a couple simple ways to decide what you need to do:
Higher Taxes? Would you rather pay more taxes vs. not having a fucking pay check at all? I will gladly pay more tax vs. not having any money. So you pay a little more...cry you fucking cherries. Sack it up and get out your wallets. Look...we are all Americans and we will find a way to ask or get more wages for the jobs we do so it evens out. That's just how we all operate.
Gas Prices? Next time your favorite superstar talks about their Hummer or pimped out SUV or you see that stuck up bitch with money driving her little brats in an oversized SUV, ask them to give you $50 for a tank of gas since they don't pay anymore money for sucking it all up for no good fucking reason at all. Make them pay more so when I fill my moped up I can get it for 20 cents a gallon and they can pay $20 per gallon.
OLD, OLD, OLD! Is there anyone out there with the right amount of experience? NO! But look at the conventions crowds and after you change the diapers and clean up the applesauce at the Republican Convention ask yourself can these people lead us into new drastically need change when they still can set the clock on a VCR...and they still have a VCR?
Your mom is the VP of the United States? This has to be the biggest fuck up...I'm not casting stones...my kids will probably have sex before I want them to and possibly get pregnant. Come on who are we kidding here...No big deal. What is the big deal...How does a Mother of 5 kids - One pregnant and one special needs handle the job of being the VP. This is not who I want there if McCain strokes out in the next 4 years. Beyond that I hope you all see this as a ploy to get the women’s votes of the independents and I hope all of you wonderful and intelligent women see this for what it is and take it as the highest insult you should not have to be exposed to in this day of the world.
So that's it for me...We need to figure this out or let's go ahead and welcome another country in to do it for us...right now it's about being smart or a shit head...which one are you?
