Keepin' English Only off the ballot? That's a paddlin'.
Greg Ramos is the attorney who discovered the loophole that kept Eric Crafton's English Only off the ballot. For those who wish to genuflect, the line starts to the left.
Mario Ramos is also an attorney in Nashville. He had nothing to do with derailing English Only, but thanks to the shared last name, he gets the bitter taste of anonymous badgering without the tangy sweetness that comes with hero worship.
It's like eating your Brussel sprouts and still not getting dessert. And it sounds a little something like this...
So just to review...
Assuming English-only doesn't pull a Willis Reed and somehow limp its way on to the ballot this November, here's what you can expect in Nashville in the coming months:
A "roont" city, courtesy of the Cubans. Daily near-rammings on the local roadways. And the end of milkshakes.
Don't say we didn't warn you, dag-blangit.

The referendum would have cost nothing, zilch, zero, nada if it had been allowed on the November ballot. Now it could cost over a quarter million. Makes economic sense, no?
