Mud Flies, Candidates Lie: It's Election Time!
Election Day is coming. We can tell because the candidates are slithering into their mudholes to tell lies and play tricks on voters.
My favorite: The TV ad, complete with images of the KKK, attacking Congressman Steve Cohen for voting against digging up the body of Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest in Memphis' Forrest Park.
Closer to home, state Sen. Rosalind Kurita, Democrat from Clarksville, has gone negative to try to save her job after stabbing her party in the back by voting for Ron Ramsey for Senate speaker. Senate Democrats may not beat Kurita but they've taught her a lesson and made her an example for any Democrat tempted to break ranks. Betrayal has its price.
