Jim Cannon Murder: if the Glove Fits...

Kelley Cannon appeared in court yesterday morning, handcuffed and draped in a yellow jumpsuit, for her preliminary hearing on charges that she murdered her husband, Jim Cannon. And we must say, things aren't looking so hot for the former MBA prom queen.
Metro Police Detective Brad Putnam testified that near Jim's bruised and strangled body, which was stuffed into a closet in his boys' bedroom, police found the fingertip of a latex glove. Jim's DNA was on the outside of that latex glove. Kelley's DNA was on the inside. Oopsy.
Putnam also testified that Kelley stole those gloves from a nearby Walgreens. Perhaps Kelley has never seen an episode of Law & Order. The judge said there is now enough probable cause for the case to go a grand jury. It seems at this point, there's not much else to say other than “open and shut.”

As far as it being open and shut, I would hope so with that kind of evidence. I really hope you are right. But as we all know, somehow murderers go free even with a ton of evidence. Just ask Mary Winkler & O.J. Simpson. Or better yet, ask the family of Mr. Winkler & Mrs. Simpson about open and shut. They had to watch the killer go free. I hope the Cannon Family does not have to suffer another tragedy in the form of a killer going free this time.
