Readers, Consider the Blogroll

Posted June 19, 2008 at 01:38:44 PM by Liz Garrigan

Folks, we haven't updated our Pith blogroll in a while (except to add Kleinheider just now so that readers don't have to travel to the Nashville Post main page to get to him), and I'm soliciting your ideas. So consider this your invitation to advise, bitch and criticize. Should I deep-six that whacked site, Tennessee Guerilla Women? Should we punt Roger Abramson for blogging only about once every other month, even though we love him? Want us to add anyone? Can we do anything to make your local political reading more convenient?

Let us know.

I vote to axe TGW, which is awful, and to add Hispanic Nashville.

actually, Liz, you added Tim Chavez recently, but obviously you're losing your mind, so maybe you don't remember. lame duck status clearly doesn't become you. i'm counting the days until you leave, by the way.

Harsh, "is a liar," but you're still here so she must be doing something right.

TGW used to be tolerable, but they went off the deep end. It is not a credible blog.

I vote for removing Abramson, even though he's one of the most insightful, astute voices in our city, when he gets around to it. And that's not just because that would then move me to the top.

Okay, it is.

The thing I love about "Liz is a liar" is that he--and we just know this anonymous prick a he--is such a devoted reader to the paper that he noticed when Liz added Tim Chavez to the blogroll. That's amazing. I didn't even notice that.

I vote to keep TGW since it adds one end of the continuum which you need. Otherwise, you lean to the right. Just because you don't agree with folks point of view doesn't mean it's not important to read. Plus you don't have to read it. Egalia is a wise and well-read source on feminist topics that otherwise you don't have.

She used to be...now, she is a shrill, unreadable Clinton apologist. Its a shame.

Yes, add Hispanic Nashville, and Just another Pretty Farce.

Go ahead and keep TGW.

They serve the dual function of comic relief and being a perfect example of the epitome of liberalism.

Comic relief is provided by all the bloggers based on your persepctive, GM.
