Editor's Note
We don’t always trumpet staff hirings, but I think this one—like Jeff Woods’ triumphant return some months back—is particularly noteworthy. Starting Jan. 2, former Scene staff writer Matt Pulle will be returning to the paper as managing editor. He will write and report, as all of our editors do, in addition to working with copy and helping me with the paper’s overall vision.
A fearless truth teller, Pulle’s homecoming is great news for readers and bad news for wayward cops, stupid Metro Council members and police prostitution decoys who consummate the act against district attorney instruction. It’s probably not what Nashville’s competitive runners want to hear either, as the scrawny Pulle will be facing them again at starting lines near you. Also, Scene staff take note: Pulle is an inveterate office-supply kleptomaniac, so keep those scissors under lock and key.

Great news. Was hoping he would come back and update his cover story from 2002 on Pedro Garcia. A lot of water over that damn.

Posted 12/03/2007 at 02:30:15 PMWe've got entirely too many troublemakers here. Too many 40-year-old adolescents, felons, power drinkers and trustees of modern chemistry. In other words, welcome back, Pulle.
Posted 12/03/2007 at 03:03:11 PMThat's terrific.
Posted 12/03/2007 at 03:09:12 PMWelcome back, Matt!
Posted 12/03/2007 at 03:19:31 PMBravo!
Posted 12/03/2007 at 04:17:15 PMPulle's a hack who plays fast and loose with the facts. And you call Valentine the same thing (he is). Just interested, where do you draw the line Garrigan?
Posted 12/03/2007 at 08:00:20 PMNot a moment too soon. Nashville's supply of NY Giants partisans was growing unacceptably thin. (He's okay at the journalism stuff too.)

Send in a resume and see.

Posted 12/04/2007 at 09:15:44 AMAsk your wife.
Posted 12/04/2007 at 03:38:08 PMwhy do you assume I wear panties?
Posted 12/04/2007 at 03:40:56 PMThis is great news. I hope Matt starts with those open drug traffic markets on N 2nd St in East Nashville that Commander Nash talked about in the Scene back a few months ago.
For years and years residents have asked Metro to rid the neighborhoods of the crack dealers and to date they are ignored.
For years the residnets have asked MDHA to remove the felons committing criminal activity on all of the goverment assited rentals and to date MDHA refuses to abide by Federals Laws (Hud v Rucker).
The MDHA Task Force also needs to be investigated and reported because they are clearly not doing their job. Getting government grant money, located within MNPD and ignoring what they are paid to do and that is to remove the criminal activity on government assisted rentals.
Residents have asked MNPD why MDHA is allowed to break federal laws and why haven't they busted them. Thought that was federal fraud.
Posted 12/05/2007 at 03:21:24 AMliz asked, "why do you assume I wear panties?"
I assumed a modicum of decorum at your offices. Since pinky probably wears pasties, I apologize for my unwarranted assumption.
Posted 12/05/2007 at 10:42:35 AMYou can look but you better not touch, stud. Don't worry, though: if I were into men, that would let you off the hook.

Posted 12/06/2007 at 10:06:45 AMThe rumour mill is rampant.
Posted 12/06/2007 at 01:40:53 PMAha. It's not like you'd have a frame of reference.
