According to the Sommet Center Twitter, the Black Eyed Peas will be in Nashville Fri., Feb. 12 to play our local enormodome, as Gold likes to call it. Which won't be called the Sommet Center by then. (We should know the new name tomorrow.) Ticket prices and on-sale date TBA.

It's bad enough that the Black Eyed Peas named their album The E.N.D. but made it an acronym including the words "never dies." Is there a band that hates music more than these fools? The ongoing ubiquity of the Black Eyed Peas is basically the universe saying, "Fuck it, you people obviously don't care what happens to you." I'd almost rather listen to Creed. I'd probably rather listen to a Lady Gaga parody involving a font. I'd definitely rather watch Keenan. Someone much younger and wiser than me likened them to "the Fleetwood Mac of suck," a sentiment I agree with except for the fact that it debases the name Fleetwood Mac.

For example, this actually happened--spoiler alert: They drop "Smells Like Teen Spirit" over the breakbeat from Lyn Collins' "Think (About It)," though it's probably just taken from the Rob Base record:

So Two-Thousand-and-Suck. See you all at the Jimmy Dean Sausage Dome Presented by Crisco!
