I know what you're thinking! Actually, I don't. The folks at the LimeWire Store approached the Scene about doing a free sampler of Nashville bands for their website, so what do you think we said?

Go here right now, as in immediately, and download Ear to the Ground: Nashville for free. How easy is that? It's got songs by Cortney Tidwell, How I Became the Bomb, The Dynamites Featuring Charles Walker, Jensen Sportag, The Privates, Kidsmeal, Those Darlins--y'know, the good stuff. So enjoy. There are similar samplers up for other cities like National League champion Philadelphia and, uh, Cy Young Award-harboring(?) San Francisco, but first things first, people. First things first.

Apparently just harboring a Cy Young winner (?) isn't enough to convince LimeWire to do a comp for a city. I looked through the whole catalog and there was nary a mention of "Ear To The Ground: Kansas City."

October is a tough time for Royals fans. As are the months between April and September.

I think the point Zac was making is that he hasn't seen this band get much coverage. They seem to have a decent draw in town, and i was just agreeing on his point after catching their last show. I suppose your point would make sense Mike, if you mentioned bands that were doing anything to speak of.

I think you're completely misunderstanding what i'm saying. I've been turned onto some great bands through reading the cream (shoot the mountain, JEFF, and the relatives, turbo fruits and the protomen to name a few) and just wondered how you missed, that's all. I also saw a band called the Young Republic a few weeks ago and wondered the same.
