Ass Grabbers at Shows: a Problem
It's happened to all of us: You're at a show, watching the band, or at least sort of listening out of one ear while you drink. You're minding your own business, looking good. Then an egregious, unapologetic ass grab goes down right there in front of you. It's usually some gross dude with his hand on his girl's ass (or a couple fingers tucked into the back pocket), but the street definitely runs both ways. Gross Street. And you're like, "What's with the ass grab, you ass grabber?"

Diagram from a recent rock show in Nashville, TN, showing the close proximity of brazen public ass grabbers to The Spin and other innocent bystanders.
So, what's up with the ass grabbing, ass grabbers? You know who you are.

My hand + your ass = good times
Posted 12/03/2008 at 03:38:11 PMI think there's a direct correlation between your proximity to ass and the way these Spin reviews usually turn out.
Posted 12/03/2008 at 03:55:00 PMAt a Charles Walker & The Dynamites show, my husband and I witnessed something much more egregious than the ass-grab: the random stranger on stranger grind dance. We're talking hilarious, drunk, simulated sex on the dancefloor. The best/worst part? The dude, in a moment of exuberance, turned around and tickled (yes, I said tickled) my husband's armpits. Oh yeah. Felt good. Good and weird...
Posted 12/03/2008 at 03:55:53 PMAre we talking about random sexual harassers, or established couples who fondle each other in public? The fingers-in-back-pocket makes it sound like you mean the latter, but some ambiguity remains.
Also, nice diagram, but why's The Spin standing so far in the back? That's not where *I* would stand, if I were The Spin.
Posted 12/03/2008 at 04:12:07 PMthe set list is a nice touch.
Posted 12/03/2008 at 05:01:57 PMThe Spin's location makes perfect sense. They fail to mention where the door is at, but presumably it's somewhere near The Spin because they probably just showed up. Ignoring that, more important is the location of the beer and bar to The Spin. It would not be The Spin if they were not near the alcohol, yes? Unless of course you have The Spin standing behind the bar.
Posted 12/03/2008 at 05:08:08 PMI'm guessing this is a diagram of The End? Can we make a game out of this?!
Posted 12/03/2008 at 06:46:45 PMdon't they realize this is a respectable street...?
Posted 12/03/2008 at 07:06:52 PMAnonymous: Zing!

Emily H.: The latter. But we've experienced the former. Perhaps a diagram for another day.
