Next Big Nashville Updates

First, the NBN afterparty on Saturday night has been moved to The Cannery Ballroom. (It was originally booked for City Hall, and we had already printed our Music Manual insert for this week's Scene when we got the update.)

Diesel:U:Music Official NBN Afterparty Saturday, September 13 12:30 am – 3:00am Cannery Ballroom, One Cannery Row Wrap up your NBN week with live music from The Features and Jensen Sportag as well as DJ sets by L.A.-based Hell Ya!, live screen printing by Boss Construction on free Diesel t-shirts, digi-photo booth by Jonathon Kingsbury, projections from Gay Werewolf, a "dare chair" by Paul Mitchell Salons and more. (FREE for NBN ’08 Badge and Wristband holders. Limited $10 walk-up entry available.)

Second, we've gotten word on a few more details for the East Nashville block party on Sunday in Five Points:

Here are a few things to note about the East Side Block Party. The Groove will be offering 10% discounts, Beyond the Edge is offering 2 for 1s all day Sunday and Rumours East will be offering $4 Sangria, $5 Cocktails and a $6 pizza special starting at 5pm. Rumours East will also have live acoustic sets from 5-7pm on the back patio. Here is the Schedule:

This makes much more sense to me than having it at City Hall. If Mercy is going to have an afterparty sat. at the same time, why force people to choose between the gulch and 8th ave, when you can just have both parties right next to each other with people mingling from one to the other? Kudos to whoever made that decision.
