Tonight's line-up at The End isn't especially noteworthy above all others, but the cause behind it is definitely worthy of a little extra push. A few weeks ago, one of the bar's bartenders, Laura Joseph, lost almost everything she owns, as well as her two cats, in an apartment fire. Tonight, The End is having a benefit show to help one of their own get back on her feet. The bill, presented by Spat! Records, features performances by Lojaque and the Flaming Nahdbits, dharmakaya, Raise the Stray, The Happy Strangers, and Oli Endless. There will also be an art auction.

Show starts around 9 p.m. and there's a $5 minimum donation.

I had the pleasure of meeting Laura at the End last Saturday. It's amazing that despite everything that's happened, she has a upbeat and positive attitude about it. People with this kind of outlook are very rare and valuable to our city. Let's pack this venue tonight folks.
