If you can imagine an indie rock opera about Street Fighter II, then you can imagine yourself at Exit/In tomorrow night, because Man Factory are opening for The Privates and, well, they wrote a rock opera about Street Fighter II. I'm really digging the tender theatrics of "Chun Li Suite," but "Good Grief Zangief" is definitely my favorite song title. But then "Balrog 24 7" is totally J.T.!

Why are The Protomen not on this bill, you ask? I have no idea. I'm not saying that would not be a sensical show.

The Privates also play the Nashville Cream 2-Year Anniversary Party at Mercy Lounge on Saturday, Aug. 23, where they'll be doing a set of local covers. Up, down, left, right, A, B, Select, Start.

I read the title of this post and before I could even click on it, I knew it just HAD to be about Street Fighter II. Thanks for the blast from the past.

You're thinking of down, down-towards, towards, high punch.

Up, up, down, down is the Contra code :)

Lord what a great game. Street Fighter II Turbo was arguably even better. Having two six-button controllers on the Sega Genesis made for the best fights ever. Okay I'll stop now.

Does anyone on here know the Privates? I want to hear a cover of Lambchop's 'Thriller' (the song, not the whole album).

The Street Fighter 2 Turbo on the 3DO system is considered the greatest adaptation. I should know. I have it.

I hate to be that guy as well, but you are missing a substantial part of the code, especially if you are playing Contra.

Up, Up, Down, Down, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A, Select Start.

Now the world has righted itself once again........

I will be at the Cream party - that why I'm asking someone who knows them to have them play it that night. I can't just walk up to them the night of and request it.
