I don't know how anyone else feels, but local honey is the worst music venue I have ever been to,and I've been to a lot. The people that work there have the "holier than thou" attitude, and the crowd they attract is more concerned with how cool they look than anything else(and trust me,you don't look cool at all.). I thought people left that stuff back in high school? It's got every bad stereotype that "indie rock" has and so much more. It sucks because I want to go to this show but I guess I'll sit it out because of the venue.

It's a vintage clothing store, thus one should expect very fashion-conscious people to hang out at shows there. I've never felt judged by people there, but then again I could give a rat's ass what people think of my clothes. And I always enjoy the vibe of outdoor shows on warm summer evenings.

Yeah fuck what people think, though I'm not a big fan of that place either, the people who work there do seem snotty but fuck what they think too.

Steve I totally agree, but it literally makes me sick to be around the type of materialistic people that run that place and go to shows there. Being "fashion-conscious" as you say is one thing, which I like to think that I'm a fashionable girl, but its the attitude those people have that I'm talking about.

I guess everybody should get their time and place to be the cool kids, and you usually get your time and place to get made to feel uncool by said cool kids, too, but I have chosen to navigate the calm waters of mediocrity throughout life...not uncool enough to feel uncool, and not cool enough to make anyone else feel uncool. ignorance is not bliss...mediocrity is. i'm kidding...i'm cool.

Do they have beer at these Local Honey shows? I've never been to one, but plan to walk up there on Saturday. And then I'm going to keep walking over to Brown's Diner to see Joe Bidewell.

It's byob unfortunately, but these shows typically turn out to be pretty fun little parties. I'm not exactly sure where all this animosity over V-necks and fashion stems from, but I've never been accosted at Local Honey for wearing regular-neck t-shirts.
