Last week, I forgot to post the contents of the music section, an unfortunate oversight because we told you all about Paper Rival and Alejandro Escovedo's new records and local shows.

But really, I meant to introduce you to our new Murfreesboro correspondent Wes Lewis. He wrote a piece about recent 'Boro happenings with the kind of rambling ennui and fuck-it attitude that sums up the town perfectly. And, he even includes the Bucket City Wiffleball League scores.

How We Spend Our Midnights: Noise bands, Wiffleball and 'trust pits'—just another month in Murfreesboro.

Excellent read. Looking forward to more of this. One thing though... shouldn't this column be titled How We Handle Our Midnights as in the classic Glossary record? That band IS The Boro.

Joey Karate said:

Your mom is the Boro... and she sucks at wiffle ball too.

joe baine: it was a conscious decision.

so Joe's the asshole

Joe Baine said:

If by saying that I'd recommend second opinions on such conscious decisions, then yes... I am the asshole.

Great article otherwise. Quite the bang up job.

Mammoth said:

haha, you said "bang up". nice.

and wes, I love you. I knew you had it in you.

Joe Baine said:

Well of course I did. When I find myself jonesin' for a Bang Up fix these days, I just play Here Are The Sonics and Gang of Four's Entertainment! at the same time... seems to do the trick.

Joe, I realized I dropped an inside joke on you that sounds like I'm being dick if you don't know what I'm talking about. You know I love your Indie Ghetto goodness.

Matt S. said:

Sean, you call it a zing; I call it mission accomplished.
