American Bang Sure Watch A Lot of Lifetime Movies

Posted March 19, 2008 at 03:47:25 PM by Sean Maloney

Haters and gentlemen, start your engines! The too-cool-for-school crowd is gonna dog this one for sure, but Best Week Ever interviewed the Bang brothers for a little game of "Band Name Or Lifetime Movie" and it's pretty frickin funny. Not "the Timmons Sisters with Jeff Fahey" funny, but still pretty good.

Hey now, don't dog the Lost love.

Sadly we did not get a picture with Elijah Wood, who was right in front of us at a showcase last Friday night, but my picture of the side of his head in the crowd is creepily enough drawing TONS of traffic from a livejournal group devoted to stalking him.

Does anybody watch Lost in a public place? I'm fine with being the solitary nerd on my couch, but sometimes I feel like Lost should be a group activity.

So where do the geeks congregate around here?

Janet said:

Mostly I think we congregate at each other's houses. Watching en masse in public would be too dangerous - if we were all in a bar and someone who didn't care showed up and decided to chit chat, they'd totally get attacked.

good point.

There is no way I could watch Lost in a bar. Like Janet said, people would get hurt.

The Alamo movie theater in Austin shows Lost every week. Free admission and they have an awesome food and beer menu. I went last week and it was the best thing ever.

i vote to make the 5 spot the LOST hang out, since i have to bartend there on thursday anyways and we do have a big o flat screen

I watch in a weekly group, but in the privacy of a home. I need total silence, and it helps to have the DVR for key rewinding.

But LOST is definately better in a group—other people see things I would miss.

Man, tonight is gonna be SWEET.

Miss Guided blows, I can't believe they stopped rerunning Lost to show that crap. Fuck Ashton Kutcher and fuck guidance counselors. You can tell that MG is trying for an Arrested Development-esque "edginess" but only about 1 in 5 of the jokes work.

On the other hand, I'm totally stoked that Micheal is back on Lost.
