I had Chuy's yesterday and the food was less than spectacular. However, the service was even worse. Now I realize that they just opened, but I am pretty sure that the guy waiting on us had never waited table before in his life. It took about 5 mins to get our drinks. We ordered an app and it never came, but it did show up on the bill. We had to ask other waiters for drink refills, and our waiter was MIA for the majority of the time. I tried several items and noting really stood out. The fish tacos were bland and the rice and beans were very average.

On the up side the salsa and con queso are good.

Any details on the Italian restaurant going in beside Pier One on WBR in the old Bellancino's space?

I don't know if it's part of the "secret speakeasy" mystique, but ever since they opened I've wondered why PH doesn't post there menu online.

I actually had to look at their Flickr account pictures to see photos of a rudimentary menu to check it out. And that was the opening menu. It's changed seasonally since then.

Which is a long way of saying you have to go to the restaurant to see the menu.

I hope this doesn't sound too re-freakin'-diculous on this blog, but I'm craving something from my childhood: An old-style Pizza Hut restaurant experience. Table service. Arcade games. Dim interior. Red plastic tumblers. My sister says the closest approximation is in Bellevue, but are there any others? I will do this one time, then never crave major chain pizza again.

(Specifically jonesin' for a large Pepperoni Lover's Pan pizza... bonus points for Bud Light)
