Yummy: Chocolate Fondue at Suzy Wong's

In this week's review of Suzy Wong's House of Yum, the new joint venture on Church Street between Arnold Myint and the guys at Zeus Entertainment, I raved about the patio, which must be one of the best outdoor dining spots in the city.
While Suzy Wong's lives up to the freshness and quality of Myint's PM, it does not strike the note of culinary drama found at ChaChah. For example, there's no bison bone hollowed out and served with tempura-fried marrow. Suzy's offers well-executed versions of familiar Asian favorites.
But there is a decadent pot of thick chocolate reminiscent of the beloved Abuelita at ChaChah. In the Asian vein, this dessert is a chocolate-ginger fondue, with hunks of fruit and chewy crystallized ginger for dipping. It may not be as mind-blowing as the Abuelita, but Suzy Wong's patio makes up for the difference.
