PM/ChaChah and Tribe/Play Owners Team Up on Church Street
Belmont Boulevard restaurant impresario Arnold Myint, owner of PM and ChaChah, is teaming up with Zeus Enterprises principles David Taylor, Keith Blaydes, Joe Brown and Todd Roman--the team behind Tribe, Play and Red--to introduce a dining concept that combines Zeus' tradition of nightlife entertainment with Myint's culinary vision.
The yet-to-be-named restaurant-bar will be located in the space that currently houses Red. Executive chef Myint will create a menu to serve the 100 diners in the Red space, along with the bar crowd at Tribe. the Asian-themed repertoire will reflect much of the flavor and small-plate presentation at Myint's other restaurants.
"It's kind of like PM is mating with ChaChah and the baby is Asian tapas," says Myint, who will partner with the Zeus owners in the venture. The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner, with takeout available and a late-night menu until 4 a.m.
The restaurant, located at 1517 Church St., will be given a sleek makeover and will include a full bar, a wall of banquettes, two levels of seating, lounge areas, cabanas and a patio. If all goes according to plan, the new concept could emerge in September.
Bites will keep you posted as soon as a name for the enterprise is finalized.
