It's a certain Gnome's birthday, and someone's treating him to a steak dinner. Knowing how the Gnome hates extravagance, where would you take him for a moderately priced meal of meat and potatoes?

I've never been to Logan's. Is it palatable?

Nothing but the best for the Gnome. Would that be Morton's, Fleming's or Jimmy Kelly's?

Blackstone's ribeye is perfect.

The last time I was at Logan’s on Elliston I had the filet which was cooked perfectly medium. I was happily surprised and for some reason the server gave us half off our bill that night as well.

Went to Logan's. They overcooked my porterhouse. Was pretty good despite that.

I accompanied Mr. Gnome, and my filet and shrimp-kabob combo was quite good. As much as I like to poo-poo the chains, Logan's does what they do well.

One of the most awesome steaks that I've had in a while that is reasonable is the ribeye at Dan McGueiness! OMG...I wouldn't have thought a steak at a pub would be worth anything but WOW! Tuesday I believe is the day they have the 16oz steak for $12. Thursday they have excellent fish and chips for $6. These are the best fish and chips this side of Dublin, IRE! Check it out! YUM!

Fluffernutter ftw! I cannot believe that Logan's offers a porterhouse -- it's my favorite cut, but it's hard to cook it right because the strip side needs different treatment than the fillet side. I bet they didn't use a meat thermometer. I'm shocked at how few of the steak places use one.
