Weekend Pick: Tomato Art Fest
OMG! Tomatoes! So Red (or yellow or pink or green or orange). So sweet (or tart or earthy). It's easy to forget that, like people, tomatoes come in every shape, size, color and style, so it's no surprise that they warrant their very own block-party-tastic celebration. This annual East Nashville event is once again anchored by Art & Invention Gallery's Tomato Art Show which features works inspired by this versatile—and oh so juicy—fruit. In addition, there will be a parade, children's activities, Bloody Mary and recipe competitions, The Tomato King & Queen Pageant, live music and more. Costumes welcome.
